You start by picking your SOUL type. The first step is to pick a SOUL type for yourself. There are five available soul types: Loyalty, Kindness, Bravery, Determination and Patience. Your SOUL starts at the center of a never-ending staircase with many rooms leading off it on both sides. The room to the left of you has a green-yellow door that leads to a mirror, which you can use to take a look at your current appearance and tweak it as needed before continuing down the stairs. The room to the right of you has a red-orange door that leads to a save point. The first room on the left leads to a shop run by Mettaton, who sells four items: Your very own pink and fuzzy 'FRIEND' button (makes monsters scatter when they see you), an HP restoring donut (heals 5 HP), a dashing blue cape (increases your dashing speed) and a golden fragment (used as currency to buy items from other NPCs). The next two rooms both lead to waterfalls that give access to other sides of the battlefield and each hold an NPC and some other optional content. The next room on the left has a SAVE point that you can use to save your progress. The one after that contains a pink and purple-striped door, which leads to a race track where you can race the ghost of another player who has already played the game. If you win, you earn some gold pieces. The next two rooms are both empty, but they lead to different parts of the battlefield which each hold an NPC and some additional optional content. The room after those holds an upgraded version of Mettaton's shop with several new items for sale that cost much more than their counterparts in Mettaton's first shop. The last two rooms on the left both lead to more parts of the battlefield, which hold more NPCs and additional optional content. The mirror room on the right holds the 'Void' room where you start when you die, as well as an NPC with some optional content. After that is an area with four SAVE points (one for each direction) and a yellow-orange door that leads to an extremely challenging boss battle; if you win, you earn access to lots of very powerful rewards. The final room on the right holds a new shop run by Napstablook, who sells his own version of the 'Friend' button, some magic seeds (used to grow pumpkins and turn them into rarer items), a major upgrade to Mettaton's shop (he sells more items, including green and blue armour sets, which are stronger than the red and yellow sets) and several upgrades to his shop. He also has an item for sale that lets you summon your character in its old skin style. If you have money to spare after purchasing what he offers, he will allow you to buy an item that will let you play as your character whenever you die. cfa1e77820
